KINGDOM REVIVAL 2021 #2 Call To Action

“Therefore, lay aside all filthiness and overflow of wickedness, and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls. But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.” (James 1:21-22)

“What does it profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? . . . But someone will say, ‘you have faith, and I have works.” Show me your faith without your works, and I will show you my faith by my works.’” (James 2:14, 18)

“. . that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” (Romans 10:9-10)

These Scriptures speak to action. We can’t just come to church every Sunday and Wednesday, hear the word proclaimed and go home, doing nothing until coming back next service. We can’t just proclaim we have faith, but nothing we do even comes close to showing that. We can’t just believe in our heart without proclaiming that belief (confess with our mouth).

As believers, we must hear God’s word, understand what we heard, and act on it. Live a Christ-like life. James does not add “good” to his use of “works.” We cannot earn points for good works to gain our salvation. Our salvation is already assured. God doesn’t want us to claim our salvation, then do nothing. He does want us to walk in Christ’s image. Works is acting out our faith, confessing our belief in Christ.

Again, these Scriptures speak to action. Revival is about to burst forth throughout this nation. This revival is not about attending “tent preachings” or becoming wrapped up in another Jesus Movement. It is about surrendering everything to God and obeying what He has for us. For us it manifested with our obedience of Him sending us to Lebanon, KS, to pray 2 Chronicles 7:14. We drove 1000 miles (one way) to fulfill what God had put on my heart through a Super Bowl commercial. Because of our faithfulness and action, He provided confirmation that He had heard our prayers. Revival is upon us. He has been preparing me (and us all) for this season, since He first placed Revival on my heart in Nov 2019. We must raise up as One Voice, humble ourselves, pray and seek God in everything and turn from our wicked ways. He will heal our lands and show us His Glory! Praise God for all He is doing!

    Be Blessed!

    KINGDOM REVIVAL 2021 #1

    SURRENDER & OBEY

My focus the last 6 weeks has been on the trip to Lebanon, KS, to pray for the healing of our land. God had put me on that course. Now that the trip is complete, the real work is just beginning. My soul is still vibrating with intense energy from the encounter. I did not have to drive 1,000 miles to pray 2 Chronicles 7:14 and then come home. There are many fine places here in Corpus Christi that would have sufficed. Except that God told me to go to Kansas.

As I continue to meditate on the events of the trip, several things keep coming to mind. Since surrendering my life to Jesus and striving to obey His will, my life has become so much easier. Easier in the sense that I have less worry because I know God will provide ALL my needs, as the occasion dictates. There will be trials and tribulations, but God will carry me through, as long as I continue to draw near to Him and lean into His love and grace.

In surrendering to God’s will, I am acknowledging that His plans are so much more perfect than anything I could come up with. I travelled to Kansas to pray for healing of our nation, but I know so much more was going on as well, a lot of which I may never know about. People’s lives may have been changed forever because of the testimony we shared along the way. Either of those we met in person or those reading on FaceBook. James 4:6-8 tells us: “God resists the proud but gives grace to the humble. Therefore, submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.”

When we submit ourselves to God, that is be humble, and resist the lies of the devil, He will draw close to us and shower us with His grace. In submitting we are drawing closer to God. But we must do more than merely perform mental exercises and prayers. We must actively live out His word, as James 2: 22 states, “But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.” As we walk it out with Christ, we become more than just empty vessels. We are filled with the light of Christ (grace), which shines from us so that others will see Christ’s image in us and will be drawn to it, in essence being drawn closer to God. REVIVAL begins within each of us as we surrender to His will. God’s love will shine from us and others will want what we have and this land will be covered in it as well. Humble yourself and look around you, seeking God moving mightily. Pray for healing and turn from your wicked ways. You, too, will have that personal encounter with the healing mercies only God can give, as I did that cold, wet, dark evening this past Saturday, as we prayed 2 Chronicles 7:14.

    Be Blessed!

    Kingdom Prayer 7:14 Mar 13, 2021

KINGDOM PRAYER FOR THE NATION 7:14 MARCH 13, 2021

Thank you for your prayers in supporting this past weekend’s trip to Lebanon, KS. This is the gist of the prayers we lifted up Saturday at the chapel. We asked God to use us to spark the flame of Revival and to show us His Glory. We prayed that He would eradicate the coronavirus in such a way that there would be no doubt as to who is in charge.

“If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from Heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” (2 Chronicles 7:14)

Heavenly Father, we come before You, humbly asking you to Heal our land. We ask you to completely eradicate this deadly virus that has been unleashed onto this world. We know that it was not of Your making, but that you have and will continue to use it for Your good. Scriptures are full of prayers for God’s mercies over the people of the land. In Genesis, Abraham asked God to spare Sodom, not once, not twice, but six times if righteous men could be found first. In Exodus, Moses prayed for God not to destroy the Israelites several times on their 40 year journey. Psalm 91 may have been his prayer of the promises to them should they keep the faith. Paul points to that Psalm as examples of what to do and not do. Today, we faithfully stand here on the promises you have given us in Your Word, the Word that resides in each of us.

We also know that the eradication of this virus is not the only healing this land needs. The Church, the Body of Christ, desperately needs a REVIVAL, a revival that you, Heavenly Father, through the Holy Spirit can ignite in our hearts. I know that I cannot be the only one praying for this revival. There must be at least 4 others in this world praying for the same things. 3 others, because Pat stands here in one accord with me. We stand ready to do Your will, to spread Your Word, Your Truth, in Love. To speak up in support for the sanctity of all life, for all peoples to come together as One Voice, to praise Your Name and give you all the Glory!

We humble ourselves before You, Heavenly Father. We choose to freely surrender to you and seek Your face, despite any trials and tribulations that may befall us. We turn from our wicked ways and repent. Hear our voices, raised as One, as we call on You, and You alone, to heal our land, the land that You created. Instill in us the desire to treat this land and the peoples inhabiting it as You have shown us how to, through Your Word!

We give you all Praise and Glory, in the name of Your son, Jesus Christ!

Please continue to pray 2 Chronicles 7:14 or any effective prayer to God, asking Him to heal our land, of the virus, of the hatred between races, ethnic and geographic backgrounds, and political battles tearing this nation apart.

Join us in the Revival of God’s people.

    Be Blessed!

KINGDOM PRAYER FOR THE NATION 7

I spent a half hour working on a post, I looked away and it disappeared. So whatever was in it wasn’t to be posted. I know better than to try and rewrite it. So know that we made it safely to Kansas and are ready to do God’s will in the morning (and evening.) Please join us in praying 2 Chronicles 7:14 tomorrow at 7:14 am and 7:14 pm. Let the voices of the body of Christ in Corpus Christi (and around the world) raise as One Accord in praying for the healing of our land and people.

Heavenly Father, Show Us Your Glory! Be Blessed.

Kingdom Prayer for the Nation #6

KINGDOM PRAYER FOR THE NATION 6

    Crunch Time

“For son dishonors father, daughter rises against her mother, daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law; a man’s enemies are the men of his own household.” (Micah 7:6)

“Do you suppose that I came to give peace on earth? I tell you, not at all, but rather division. For from now on five in one house will be divided: three against two, and two against three. Father will be divided against son and son against father, mother against daughter and daughter against mother, mother-in-law against daughter-in-law and daughter-in-law against mother-in-law.” (Luke 12:51-53)

Micah’s warning about households being divided was echoed by Jesus Christ’s own words. These warnings were not about ordinary arguments and disagreements. God does not always call us together to Him as a family. Division will surely arise when some members are called and submit while others in the same family are either not called or refuse to answer that call, and that will divide families. That is inherent in the free choice that God has given us. When we are called, we must choose to submit to that call or ignore it. That is the crux of the first part of 2 Chronicles 7:14. In submitting to the will of God, we are in essence giving up all control of our lives to God. There can be no more humbling action for us. But that is exactly what is required of us. Submit and obey.

This time next week, Pat and I will have completed the first of two prayer times in that little chapel in Lebanon, Kansas. God has placed it on my heart to go there and pray for the healing of our nation. We invite each of you to join us in prayer on that day. Not for us but for the healing of our nation. Our prayer is for the healing of our land and the people. All people, not just our family and friends. Not just our close neighbors and church members. ALL people!

I know that I am not the only one awakened to God’s call for Revival. Let us join in one accord so that God “will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land,” as 2 Chronicles 7:14 states at the end.

    Be Blessed!

“As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” (Joshua 24:15)
