It’s been a few days, but it is now time to finish tying everything together. It seems that all that has gone on in the last several months has pointed to this. I mentioned in my last post that God had released me to begin playing my guitar again. The post before that I talked about living it out with Christ, from the heart, not just merely walking it out.In the last few weeks, I’ve heard more people talking from the heart about complete surrender to God’s will: people in our church, sports figures, preachers on pod casts, co-workers, etc. My presentation back in October was titled “Freedom in Surrender.”

You know how when you buy a new car, and you’re so excited because it is one of a kind, you’ve never seen one like it before, until you pull off the lot and on the way home you see several just like it? This increased sensitivity of hearing others talking about surrender is not like that. It is God moving! And He’s taking it to another level.We started a new cycle of GriefShare last night, after a month break, and start DivorceCare on Friday night. I feel revived, and excited to see what God has planned and will do in the next 13 weeks. I feel excited for the transformations God will orchestrate in the hearts and souls of the participants. It’s the dead of winter (for South Texas) and I can sense the revival of spring in the air, even as Pat pointed out the dead grass in the front yard this morning. My heart is singing for joy (very quietly of course) with the opportunity to be playing the guitar again, in moderation. I see my wife blossoming even more in her bold proclamation of Christ. I see people beginning to be more involved in church community. I feel hearts softening and people turning to Christ with a passion I haven’t seen in a while. All this despite all the evil, destruction and hatred surrounding us.

The first worship song recently at church was “Raise a Hallelujah,” a song I can’t keep from singing aloud, much to my wife’s chagrin. The very next song was “Move.” The Chorus is “So come move, let justice roll on like a river. Let worship turn into revival. Lord, lead us back to you.” God does not do coincidence. I have had this sense enveloping me the last month or so. It has permeated my soul. That’s is what led to my selection of the word for 2020: REVIVAL! Then God says to get back into playing my guitar (worship), then infuses my soul with a greater feeling of revival coming. THEN I hear this song with the line tying both of those together “Let worship turn into revival.

”This feeling is not one of renewal. That happened at the moment of our salvation. We were made new on that day. Unfortunately, many us of have become complacent in our faith. This is a new year and a new decade (depending on how you count decades.) God is moving and it is a time of revival, both personally and within the community of the body of Christ. I don’t plan on watching it grow. I will be a part of it. I pray that He gives me the strength and wisdom to move this forward. And surrounds this city, state, country and world with like-minded believers to spread the coming revival. It is time to shine the light of Christ!

GOOD MORNING KINGDOM!

It has been several weeks since I delivered my first Message at Corpus Christi Christian Fellowship. Finally, I have some time to comment/follow-up here. I’d say life has gotten in the way, but it’s not life, but God, and He doesn’t get in the way, He IS the Way!

I want to thank all who prayed for me during the time leading up to my first Message presentation. Prayers are always a good thing. In this case they were surely felt, and answered. And of course, thanks to all our friends and family who came to hear the message, or who tuned in and watched the live-stream (or the archived video later.) My prayer is that the Holy Spirit touched your heart and revealed what He is doing at the Fellowship, and around the world. If you like what you saw or felt with our service, come back in or tune in again.

I give Jesus Christ all the glory and credit for calling me for such as time as this, to ministry. He has shown me the importance of surrendered life, and instilled in me the passion, the desire, the drive to live such a life. And more importantly, to spread that Truth so that others may be free in surrendering as well. After calling me He has been equipping me, by peeling back the layers and revealing more and more of his Word, and has brought a number of people into my life, to help further that understanding. Lately, I’ve been sensing a revival coming – a back-to-the-basics, grass roots approach. That was part of the reason behind my message (There’s Freedom in Surrender.) Once God calls us to salvation – and we accept the call – we must seal the deal with our complete surrender to His will. It is then, and only then, that God can use us to further His plans.

You know how when you buy a new car and you’re excited because it’s so unique you’ve not seen one like it? Then how, on the way home from the dealership with it, you begin to see the same car everywhere? Well, since my message, I’ve been hearing the same or similar theme (complete surrender, doing God’s will, Jesus speaks – we obey) in others’ messages, podcasts, even in casual conversations, Facebook posts and songs.

The Holy Spirit is moving and the body of Christ is beginning to respond. It’s resonating everywhere. Don’t be left behind! Surrender to His Will! Obey! Be a part of His Solution by following His plan for you.

On Sunday, our Worship team sang this song (Move). Everything the Holy Spirit has been placing in my heart this last month or so (maybe even longer) was embodied in the lyrics. Take that positive step TODAY to join the revival and spread God’s plan.
